My husband's family spends a week or two each year at a ski resort, and the walls look similar to this. Hubby is a bit biased to this look - I'm not so sure I would ever use it in a home, but I do think it can look good.

I would do it in a New York minute! All that texture! I like this use of a banquette with some low side tables instead of a dining table too.
