Window Panel Chalkboard Calender

This chalkboard calender would be great as the kids get older and busier.

A bit about it:

"Tell us about the unique chalkboard/calendar. Is it custom?

Funnily enough, we found this wooden frame at a church rummage sale for $5 when we lived in NY. My husband didn't see the potential, but I promised I would think of something great to do with it. A few months later, I was looking for a big family calendar and ended up painting a piece of masonite board with chalkboard paint and fit it into the frame. It is one of my favorite things in the house. It helps keep us running smoothly."

I'm not much of a bug person, but this is a great way of displaying a bug or any other collection in progress. It would remind me to keep on searching and collecting.

Eames Elephant

If Baby Girl inherits the guest room furniture I might need to splurge on an Eames Elephant to add a little fun and whimsy to her room. She is an animal lover after all!

If this nightlight were on my child's dresser we would dream up an imaginary fairy family and create all sorts of nightly adventures for them.

Ofi Bench Box

Woohoo! This bookshelf I liked is the Offi Bench Box (with tube legs, not casters). You can get it with a pad too.

I had decided I was just going to get Ikea's Expedit Bookcase, turn it on its side, and find steel tube legs - now I'm not sure. The Offi bench isn't available until 2009 though, and my son needs shelves now.

I like the low profile look of the Lack Shelf used like Sfgirlbybay did (Thanks Jane!), but it would be a bit long for the room.

Pottery Barn Clock

I'd doing some organizing and found this page torn from an old Pottery Barn Kids' Catalog years ago. I've been in love with the clock idea (vinyl numbers + clock hands of your choice) from the moment I saw it. Now I just need to find a clock mechanism I like....

kidmodern - Gale Kaseguma

These cheerful prints by Gale Kaseguma make me feel so happy. I would love to use one some day - probably in a play area.

Lovely Playroom

I've been starting to think seriously about a playroom for the kids. Oh how I wish I had a spot for this room! I want to curl up on the massive day bed and spend the entire day reading.

Chalk Walls

Having the artistically inclined daughter that I do makes me want to put a chalkboard/wall in our kitchen to use as a creative corner. This dining area does it even better than I could have imagined. It is nice to see kid-friendly homes that look amazing.

I love the lighting too. Actually, I love it all.

Pet & Zoo Rubberbands

These rubberbands are just plain fun!

(Plus they'd keep the kiddos entertained while hanging out with me in the office)

OFFI Roll-Top Bench

I love items that multi-task for me. Especially when these items are parenting-related.
