Skylar Collection
In the right space it could be ideal.
Maybe the bird's-eye view is overly flattering?

Sleeper Ottoman
It looks like the infrequently used guest room might become T's quiet in-home office (which means I get to take back the main floor office!) so I am back to casually looking at hidden and visually appealing sleeping situations for guests that can be used by us the 345 days of the year no one is visiting. It looks like 'A' will be inheriting the guest room furniture when she finally moves out of her crib since it would just wind up in a corner in the basement. I love the set, and it will be fun and interesting trying to make it a bit younger and girlier for her.

Ofi Bench Box
Woohoo! This bookshelf I liked is the Offi Bench Box (with tube legs, not casters). You can get it with a pad too.
I like the low profile look of the Lack Shelf used like Sfgirlbybay did (Thanks Jane!), but it would be a bit long for the room.9/14/08

More Desks
I found this desk and still love it, but acknowledge its drawbacks: glass = constant smudges and no discreet storage, which is nice, but not necessary. I did find a couple alternatives to think about, although they really aren't grabbing me.The above parsons desk with drawers.
Remove all the teeny-bopper surroundings and this desk could be pretty great. It is a style-your-own system so I could add as much storage as I wanted.I can live with smudges.

Sawhorse Worktable - West Elm
This is the desk I want for my me space when the situation merits it. I am currently sitting at a much-loved granite desk/table in our office, but this will be for my upstairs "office."8/4/08

EQ3 CRUSH Extended Chaise
We own EQ3's Crush Chaise and it is one of our most used pieces of furniture. It is the perfect height for our little reading nook and the kids love to pile on it with me. Unfortunately our bums aren't getting any smaller and it is starting to be a very tight squeeze to get all three of us on. Over two feet of additional space with the new extended version would be incredibly helpful! Even hubby would fit.

Lee's Loveseat Chaise is appealing too.

Light Blue & White + Tufted Chaise
I sort of want to forgo the cutesy stuff in my daughter's big girl room and just go straight to something like this.I must find this tufted chaise! I can honestly say that the chaise we own has been our best furniture purchase ever. It makes for a wonderful reading area and has room for more than one. We always find ourselves piled up on it. Since I'll take the glider out of A's room when we change things up we will need a new reading spot.

Andros Bistro Chair
This chair in red would look fantastic on my back deck. It isn't what I usually find myself attracted to, but with the red brick, peeling red paint on the wood (needs to be stained very soon) and all of my pots with green and reds it would look perfectly quaint.
