Ofi Bench Box
Woohoo! This bookshelf I liked is the Offi Bench Box (with tube legs, not casters). You can get it with a pad too.
I had decided I was just going to get Ikea's Expedit Bookcase, turn it on its side, and find steel tube legs - now I'm not sure. The Offi bench isn't available until 2009 though, and my son needs shelves now.
I like the low profile look of the Lack Shelf used like Sfgirlbybay did (Thanks Jane!), but it would be a bit long for the room.
Meiji Almond
I'm a dark chocolate girl and would be perfectly fine never eating milk chocolate again. There was no online resource for these - fortunately I will be loading up on my next visit to my local Asian store. If only they would start stocking the massuman curry paste again...

Baby, its cold outside
The weather is starting to turn. One consolation is delicious hot chocolate and cider...
...Thank goodness for a Starbucks on every corner.

Contentment
Contentment is not the fulfillment of what you want, but the realization of how much you already have.

Chocolate Skulls
These were on clearance at my local WS store so I picked up a pack to stick in the kid's lunches. They are so into skeletons and skulls and this is probably the best time of year to send them to school without becoming the truly creepy family.
I must remember to do more fun festive things. That is what holidays are for!

Footed Candy Bowl
I think I need this candy bowl. I would probably fill it with these chocolate-filled peppermint snaps:
They are so pretty + I think the kids might not be inclined to gobble them up in one day since peppermint is best in small amounts.

More Eye Candy
I've been "collecting" any images I find from Amy Atlas Events to supplement the first few I found. Everything she does is so delightful and inspiring - I could stare at her creations all day.

Optimism
“I am an optimist! What a wonderful time it is to be alive…my plea is that we stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. I am suggesting that as we go through life, we ‘accentuate the positive.’ I am asking that we look a little deeper for the good, that we still our voices of insult and sarcasm, that we more generously compliment and endorse virtue and effort.
“I am not recommending that all criticism be silent. Growth comes with correction. ..What I am suggesting is that we have had missing from our society a buoyant spirit of optimism. What I am asking is that we turn from the negativism that so permeates our culture and look for the remarkable good in the land and times in which we live; that we speak of one another’s virtues more than we speak of one another’s faults; that optimism replace pessimism; that uncertainty and worry be pushed aside by an enduring feeling of hope.”
